Today the weather forecast was for a misty start with the sun breaking through by mid morning. This is exactly as it panned out on a local walk in the South Nottinghamshire Wolds I did today. The image above captures the mood of the early part of the day.
Seeing this view I realised that Autumn was well and truly with us. Ploughed fields and cropped hedgerows are typical of this time of year in the rural landscape. The mist is still hanging in over the wood on the right.
Of course the leaves have started to fall and I like this section of the walk which goes through one of the many woods on the route.
